Sales and reporting

Read your sales and choose the next action

Choose the right shop and reporting period

Select the shop you want to review, then choose a period. Read revenue, sales count and average basket together: higher revenue can come from more receipts or larger baskets. Comparing another period helps you understand which pattern you are seeing.

Use periods whose opening conditions you understand. A morning, a full day and a week describe different trading activity, even when their totals happen to be similar. Check the dates before using the figures to decide what needs attention.

Move from totals to products and receipts

Look at product, category and cashier views to understand where activity comes from. A frequently sold item is worth checking for presentation and price; an unexpected amount is a reason to revisit the receipt. Sales history lets you inspect a particular transaction instead of relying only on the headline total.

  • Identify the articles that appear most often in sales.
  • Read the relevant receipts when investigating an amount.
  • Consider hours worked before comparing cashiers.

Allow offline registers to synchronize

Online management displays the data it has received. If a register sold offline, those sales appear after synchronization. Before treating a sale as missing or a day as complete, reconnect the register and check that the expected receipts have arrived.
