Shopify POS or a shop register: which workflow connects?
An online Shopify store and a physical counter have different constraints. caisse.tn builds the sync with your Shopify store on request, then makes it available to everyone. We start with variants, locations and order ownership.
Integration on request · built with the first shop
The role of each tool
caisse.tn focuses on a clear counter workflow for small and medium shops: products, prices, cashiers and sales. Shopify POS is a separate product: caisse.tn does not ship a Shopify POS extension. The sync with your Shopify store is built with the first shop that needs it.
The workflow to define
Separate two projects: extending the Shopify POS interface, and exchanging store data through Shopify APIs. For the latter, map variants, SKUs and barcodes, then choose inventory locations and the price owner. Treat online orders, counter sales, returns and discounts separately so stock is not deducted twice. App permissions and data access must be restricted to the agreed purpose.
Questions for your project
- Do you need a Shopify POS extension or a separate register connected to your store?
- Which locations and variants should share inventory?
- Should counter prices follow online prices, including promotions?
- Who handles returns, already-paid orders and refunds?
Discuss your integration
Include the tool and version, your country, the data to exchange and a technical contact. Do not email passwords or API keys.
Each connection also depends on the provider’s API access and authorisation, and on availability in Tunisia: we check these at the start. Names belong to their respective owners. Inclusion does not imply affiliation, certification or endorsement.
